In case anyone thought I was being a bit extreme in yesterday's post in my criticism of the intellectual opposition to the Bush clique, there's a long essay by Thomas Powers in the forthcoming (Feb. 23) issue of the New York Review which provides an excellent illustration of the kind of thing I mean.
